The NSFM slideshow see pdf version [click here] has been prepared by the NSFM as a lively communication tool that can be used by its members and others to share the Network’s latest thinking on how to make financial markets more sustainable. Against the backdrop of an unprecendented crisis of confidence in market mechanisms, it identifies some of the structural issues in the way financial markets operate and offers pragmatic guidance on potential areas for reform.
Launched in Melbourne on 24-25 September 2008 at the International Responsible Investment Conference convened by RIAA, the slideshow has already made a timely contribution to the debate at a time when the industry needs a fundamental re-think. It aims to encourage further discussions amongst investment practitioners and academics and hopes to spur the active participation of long-term investors in the forthcoming regulatory debates.
