NSFM participant, Stephen M. Davis, joined with two former SEC Chairmen, a former President of the World Bank and corporate governance guru Ira Millstein, in calling for prompt implementation of ten key reforms that have been under consideration for years and which would enhance accountability and transparency in the capital markets. The Roadmap, which was released during the Yale Governance Forum on June 11, 2009, also recommends consideration of additional regulatory reforms to deal with underlying causes of the financial crisis through a process linked with deliberations by President Obama’s Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission. millstein-center-roadmap-for-reform.

Stephen M. Davis and Adam Kanzer, both participants in the Network for
Sustainable Financial Markets, have been appointed to a new SEC Investor
Advisory Committee. The Committee’ charter is broad and includes
advising the SEC on:
(a) matters of concern to investors in the securities markets;
(b) investor perspectives on current, non-enforcement, regulatory
issues; and
(c) information and recommendations to the Commission regarding the
Commission’s regulatory programs from the point of view of investors.
