Bio:
Charlie is an analyst at Augusta & Coin London, a merchant bank focused on renewable energy transactions. Charlie joined Augusta & Coin January 2011 having spent the past three years as a senior wind analyst at Bloomberg New Energy Finance in London. Charlie was responsible for the company’s offshore wind research and managed several consulting projects for utility, oil and financial clients. He graduated from the London School of Economics in 2007 where he completed his BSc. (Honors) in Environmental Economics.
Charlie is now part of the renewable team and works on advisory and placement mandates across the renewable spectrum.
Interests:
Charlie is keen to play a role in helping corporations and financial investors ramp up their clean energy investments. In doing so, his interested to explore what financial instruments, products and schemes can assist with this. While global debt capital markets are essential for scale, risk perception continues to affect volumes. As a proponent of clean energy, he is keen to be part of an industry working to engage equity and debt capital markets and understand the importance of financial innovation, creativity and leadership in providing liquidity for these emerging industries to take advantage of.
