Bio:
Christoph Harwood has in the last couple of years has been able to bring his personal interests in sustainability into his professional life. He is now running his own consultancy, Marksman Consulting LLP, which focuses on sustainable investing. Prior to this Christoph worked at UBS Wealth Management, with a focus there on climate change investing, in the Lloyd’s insurance market, at the consultancy McKinsey and in Shell.
Interests:
Having had a long term interest in environmental issues, I have now becoming more and more aware of the broader issue of sustainability and how these things are all related. I believe that whilst capitalism can deliver may benefits to society it has a fundamental weakness in that is not able to address common goods. This failure leads to environmental, social and market failures and investors can only be manage this through a structured investment programme, to their benefit and that of society.
