Bio:
Eugene Ellmen has served as Executive Director of the Social Investment Organization, Canada’s national association for socially responsible investment (SRI), since 1999. He is one of Canada’s leading experts on SRI, and authored the critically acclaimed Canadian Ethical Money Guide, published between 1988 and 1998. Prior to his position with SIO, Eugene worked in journalism, and in communications and public affairs with the financial industry, government and in private consulting.
Interests:
SIO’s interests in the Network for Sustainable Financial Markets include market and public policy responses to the economic crisis, particularly regulatory reforms to encourage greater transparency, accountability and responsibility in the capital markets.
