Bio:
Jorund Buen co-founded Point Carbon. He is an expert on policy and market-related aspects of the Kyoto Protocol and its project-based mechanisms, and especially on the Clean Development Mechanism market. He has consulting experience from all continents on issues spanning from risk assessment via policy analysis to long-term strategy. Clients have been financial institutions, energy companies, multilateral organisations, and governments. He has advised on a long range of issues, spanning from long term business development strategy via scenarios for post-Kyoto policy frameworks to due diligence and risk assessment of carbon credit portfolios. Mr Buen’s previous experience is from political science research on climate policy, technological change and innovation, and new renewable energy industries.
