Paul Biddle

Bio:

I have been involved in investment markets for the past 15 years.  I am currently an analyst at a boutique Australian equities fund manager, Souls Funds Management.  Prior to this I was a fund manager with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers covering Australian equities.  Prior to that I was an analyst with BT Funds Management covering the US equity market.  I began my career as a broking analyst with Ord Minnett (now J.P. Morgan).

I have been lucky enough to have seen the investment process from both the buy & the sell side perspective.  Over this period I have also been fortunate to have worked for big investment management organisations that have shaped my thoughts on how investment processes should and shouldn’t work.  One of the key decisions that I have made is to join a small boutique fund manager and with my investment colleagues build our investment process and culture.  Our view is that ESG and sustainability are as much ingrained in the investment process as valuation and stock rating.

I have an undergraduate degree in Accounting with honors in Finance & Economics, both from the University of Technology, Sydney.  I was awarded the CFA charter in 1997.

Interests:

I am an avid runner with a long term goal to run a sub-3 hour marathon.  I have a small and active family that keeps me on my toes and passionately devoted to the financial education of our next generation of investors.
