Bio:
Peter de Graaf is a Senior partner with Acona, a management consultancy that provides advice on sustainability, the environment and risk management. He has a special interest in finance and the environment.
Peter began his career in public policy consulting in the early 1990s working in Brussels, The Hague and London. In 2000, he joined FTSE, the equity index provider, as Managing Director EMEA and Group Director of Public Affairs. Here he was responsible for managing the relationships with regulators and policy-makers in the UK, Continental Europe and the US. He was also involved in the promotion of FTSE4Good, the responsible investment index that sets guidelines for companies on environmental, governance and social issues. Peter then served on the board of an environmental research firm and in his current role continues to act as an advisor to an investment research firm that provides environment, social and governance analysis to the financial community.
Peter holds post-graduate degrees from the University of Amsterdam (MA) and the London School of Economics (MSc).
