Fredric Nyström is Client Manager at GES Investment Services, a research house for responsible investments based in Stockholm, Sweden. He has worked at GES since January 2006. Fredric is cooperating with international assets owners and asset manager. His daily tasks include among other things to supply investors with ESG company research and engagement services. A lot of time is also been spent on formulating and giving feedback on ethical investment policies and policies for active ownership and assist the investors with implementing them. From time to time Fredric cooperate with asset managers to develop and formulate new asset management concepts. One important part of Fredric’s work is to network with international investors to identify collaboration opportunities to achieve a positive engagement process on behalf of GES’ clients.
Fredric has previously worked at Svenska Handelsbanken as responsible for private investments at local branches and with discretionary asset management and institutional sales at Handelsbanken Asset Management. The year 2004 Fredric spent in Luxemburg at Handelsbanken Private Bank as investment advisor.
Fredric has studied National Economics and Development Studies at Mälardalen University and the University of Gothenburg. His degree thesis was about financial liberalization in emerging economies and consequences thereof for small- and mid size companies. Fredric has also been active in Amnesty Business Group. He was responsible for a group of activist who targeted listed Swedish companies to have them publish a human rights policy.
Prior to entering the financial industry Fredric worked for a time as chef and spent one semester at a two star restaurant in France.
In my profession my interest is about investors’ effort to insert sustainable considerations in to the financial food chain. Specific areas of interest are:

- Asset Manager Selection – the ESG element
- Develop efficient policies
Privately I like cooking and biking as well as watching my babyboy and babygirl grow up.
