I lead criteria development and application for the FTSE4Good Index, and conduct company communications.
Jayn Harding joined the FTSE Group in 2002, one year after the launch of the FTSE4Good Index, FTSE Group’s responsible investment index. Her role is to lead the development of ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) criteria and standards for FTSE’s ESG investment products, particularly the FTSE4Good Index and ESG Ratings. This involves consultation and the management of the appropriate independent FTSE4Good Committees and associated outreach programs. She also provides guidance and direction in the assessment of over 3,500 companies around the world, and the management of the companies in the FTSE4Good Index.Prior to Jayn’s appointment at FTSE Group, she was Environmental and CSR Manager at Sainsbury’s, the UK based food retailer. In this position Jayn was responsible for managing all environmental issues, as well as socially responsible sourcing and CSR. Whilst at Sainsbury’s, her work covered a variety of disciplines including supplier management and auditing; product and packaging development; Quality Assurance and Control; Buying Office, Technical Division and Distribution. Jayn holds a Management MBA, and is a member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment. She has served on UK Government forums, including Advisory Panels; been an Assessor and judge for sustainability and reporting awards, and on technical committees for GRI (Global Reporting Initiative).
