UKSIF is the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association, the membership network for responsible and sustainable financial services companies and asset owners in the UK. I joined UKSIF as Chief Executive in May 2013.
I’m a former equity fund manager with over twenty years of investment management experience. I was Group Chief Investment Officer at Liverpool Victoria, Head of Investments at Friends Provident and Managing Director at 3i Asset Management. Prior to joining UKSIF, I was Head of Sustainable Financial Markets at the charity Forum for the Future. My first career was in the brewing industry in Sunderland and Kent; I moved into finance after doing an MBA at Cranfield in 1990.
I am particularly interested in seeking to influence how market structures, practices and participants adjust to the wide range of challenges they face from “sustainability”. My hope is that the current models can flex far enough and fast enough to these address issues and I’m delighted to be able to work with UKSIF members to bring that about.
