Building a model to support great business decisions. When I was at ExxonMobil, I developed a cost and revenue model that allowed me or anyone to easily just plug in different assumptions and quickly develop scenario forecasts based on those assumptions. Also, I assessed return on investment in strategic initiatives around the globe using criteria such as NPV, cost, revenue, the number of people required, and so forth.
